Pymm & Co Estate Agents in Norwich Director Steve Pymm teams up with ex-professional Norwich City footballer Darren Eadie to offer property movers in Norfolk a unique kind of marketing experience.
Steve Pymm and Darren Eadie have known each other since the early 1990’s where Steve used to work at Hatters on Lion Street and sold Darren his suits. Not only helping to kickstart Steves property career, it also meant that Darren remained has remained a lifelong friend.
In 2020 Darren set up his own relocation services business called Elite Fortress, where after his successful premiership career he helped other footballers to move after their transfer had been made and then moved onto serving the general public.
After a perviously short spell of working in an Estate Agency to get a feel for the ropes, Darren then decided to go it alone. Then making the decision to deliver his business idea to other successful independent owners, Darren pitched his idea at a business dinner to seven business owners, Steve Pymm being one of them.
Steve recognised the opportunity as an obvious fit and with the combination of Steve’s property expertise and Darren’s public persona being able to offer something different to the movers of Norfolk from a social media angle.
Utilising Darren’s reach as he is well known throughout Norwich and Norfolk after his successful football career, it is all about trust. Estate Agents usually have a historic reputation for not being a trustworthy business sector and with this new venture, we are looking to solidify the trust that comes with Darren.
With Pymm & Co Estate Agents in Norwich now on all the major social platforms with a great following such as Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn, Instagram and of course Facebook, Darren’s addition brings a unique addition to our platforms and content. Our content is recorded by Jerry Dawes of @stillfocusmedia on a regular basis and although we are an Estate Agents selling houses, it is not all about that, we are looking to showcase Norwich and the surrounding areas.
Part of Darren’s ethos, he says, is also to do away with the idea of the ‘hard sell’. “That’s one of the biggest things I noticed about estate agency when going inside it,” he says. “It’s always about the hard sell.”
“I think where we try and do things differently is about understanding those people’s stories. You know, why are they selling their property, why are they moving on and the story behind it – the emotion behind it.”
“I think there’s too much of a rush sometimes to get that business so quick that you lose sight of that. We’re understanding. We’ve been in the same position. We’ve been through it all, because of our age, so it’s actually about that – about understanding their stories, being a bit more empathic and caring about their situation than perhaps somebody else might have.”
If you follow our social media accounts then you will see the videos that we have put together, telling more of a story of the properties rather than just the usual walking around a property as other agents do!
